By using PickModular, you're agreeing to these terms. They're pretty straightforward, but read them anyway.

What This Site Is

PickModular is a product review and information site focused on modular products. You can read our content, create an account, leave comments, and (if you're a contributor) submit articles for review. That's the deal.

Accounts

You need a valid email to create an account. Use real information. Don't create fake accounts or pretend to be someone else. One account per person is plenty.

Keep your login credentials safe. If someone gets into your account because your password was "password123," that's on you. Let us know immediately if you think your account has been compromised.

We can suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. We'd rather not, but we will if we have to.

Our Content

Everything we publish (reviews, guides, analysis, images, our scoring methodologies) belongs to us. You can share links, quote small portions with attribution, and reference our work. You can't copy entire articles, scrape our content for your own site, or pass off our work as yours.

Our Modularity Scores, TCO calculations, and other metrics are our own assessments based on our methodology. They're opinions informed by research, not official certifications or guarantees.

Your Content

When you comment or contribute content, you keep ownership of your work. But you're giving us permission to display it on the site, which is kind of the whole point.

What you can post:

• Your own thoughts and opinions
• Questions and discussions
• Links to relevant resources (with context, not just link-dumping)
• Constructive criticism of our reviews

What you can't post:

• Content you copied from somewhere else
• Spam or promotional junk
• Personal attacks or harassment
• Anything illegal
• Malware, phishing links, or other malicious stuff
• Other people's private information

We moderate comments. If yours gets removed, it probably violated one of these rules. Repeat offenders get banned.

Affiliate Links and Commerce

We use affiliate links. When you buy something through our links, we earn a small commission. This doesn't affect what we recommend. We've trashed products with great affiliate programs and praised ones that barely pay.

We disclose affiliate relationships in our content. If you don't want to use our affiliate links, that's fine. Search for the product directly. We won't be offended.

Product prices and availability change constantly. We try to keep things updated, but we can't guarantee every price you see is current. Always verify before you buy.

Our Reviews and Opinions

Our reviews represent our honest assessment at the time of publication. Products change. Companies change. What we wrote six months ago might not reflect current reality.

We're not responsible for your purchasing decisions. If you buy something based on our review and hate it, that's between you and your wallet. Do your own research. Read other reviews. Check return policies. We're one data point, not the final word.

Our scoring systems are tools to help you think about purchases, not guarantees of quality or satisfaction. Your mileage may vary. Literally, in some cases.

Limitation of Liability

If something goes wrong, our liability is limited. We won't be responsible for lost money, missed opportunities, or disappointment with products you bought. This is standard stuff, but we have to say it.

The site is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime or error-free content. Things break sometimes.

Changes to These Terms

We might update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. Keep using the site after changes means you accept them.

If we make significant changes, we'll try to give you a heads up. But checking back occasionally doesn't hurt.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. If there's a dispute, let's try to work it out like reasonable people before anyone calls a lawyer.
